Our
Mission

Our mission at Prayer Closet & Abigail Ministry is to help people build a relationship with God by deepening their understanding of the Bible and through intentional prayer. We endeavor to help individuals understand God's word so they can grow and come to know God personally, enabling them to thrive in their daily lives and walk with God.

Our
Founder

Prayer Closet and Abigail Ministry was founded by Minister Patricia Alexander in North Carolina. She has led prayer ministries for the salvation of family members, including Pastor Prayer Partners, and a Prayer Training Center to strengthen and empower spiritual gifts. She and her husband now encourage prayer warriors and build up the kingdom of God through virtual meetings.

Minister Alexander is an accurate anointed woman commissioned by God to encourage the downcast and comfort the brokenhearted. Her service in the kingdom of God is only to glorify Christ and benefit the body, as her words of insight give grace to the believers.

She completed her Associate degree in biblical studies from the esteemed Evangel Bible College and her Bachelor of Arts from Bennett College with a degree in Journalism and Media Studies.

She is a proud mother, grandmother, and

great-grandmother.

Why the Prayer Closet?

Our founder, Minister Patricia Alexander, has always been encouraged and inspired by the scripture, Matthew 6:6 as it continues to serve as a guiding word throughout her life. The Prayer Closet & Abigail Ministry name pays homage to the importance of having a  personal relationships with our Father and is directly influenced by this scripture.

But when you pray,

go into your most private room, close the door, and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you…

Our Father, who is in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come,
You will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
And forgive our debt, as we have forgiven our debtors, letting go of the wrong and resentment. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever.

Matthews 6:6, 9-13
